'PREPARED PIANO'
Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY SS26
CHARLES JEFFREY LOVERBOY’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection, Prepared Piano, is a live, unscripted tribute to music making, staged inside the legendary Abbey Road Studios.
More than a fashion show, it’s a creative “happening” that blurs the lines between sound, garment, and performance. Inspired by Abbey Road’s rich history and its experimental ethos, the collection pays homage to the unsung characters behind music’s evolution engineers, execs, and boundary-pushing artists reinterpreted for the Gen Z era through bold silhouettes and reimagined archetypes.
At the heart of Prepared Piano is a synesthetic exchange between sound and fashion.
Charles Jeffrey and his team treated design like remixing music layering, looping, and distorting classic garments into playful, warped forms.
From shirts with built-in ties to surreal sunglasses, every piece hums with a sense of beautiful disruption.
Named after John Cage’s technique of modifying pianos to create unpredictable sounds, the collection embraces imperfection and experimentation, turning formalwear into instruments of rebellion.
Rather than a traditional runway, the campaign unfolds as a day-long creative jam session with musicians, artists, and friends of the brand.
Abbey Road becomes a playground of spontaneous performances, sonic rituals, and chaotic energy, culminating in an EP and a custom plugin for global music makers.
As Charles Jeffrey puts it, “Abbey Road is not a museum—it’s a squat for genius.".
Prepared Piano captures this spirit, offering a fully immersive, 360-degree experience where fashion becomes both a soundtrack and a statement.
